A Word from Attorney Lewinski

I currently live in Orchard Park, New York with my wife, Julie, and our children Donovan and Scarlet. My wife and I also own offices of CarePatrol in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Western Pennsylvania. CarePatrol provides no cost senior care and senior living consulting to older adults and their families to evaluate in-home care, independent living, assisted living, and memory care options for older adults across Western and Central New York, and Western Pennsylvania (www.carepatrol.com).

Educational Experience

I attended Canisius College (now University) in Buffalo, New York where I received my B.A. in Political Science in 2003, and my M.B.A with a concentration in Human Resources in 2005. Shortly after graduation, I moved to Pittsburgh to attend law school at the Duquesne University School of Law, where I graduated cum laude in 2009. At Duquesne, I was the Executive Editor of the Duquesne Business Law Journal, and the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award.

Professional Background

I started my legal career in Pittsburgh at a small corporate boutique law firm and then to a large 550-lawyer firm headquartered out of Philadelphia, practicing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, estate planning, employment matters, corporate transactional work, securities litigation, construction litigation and professional responsibility matters.

After being in private practice for several years, I transitioned to working in the Legal Department at Crown Castle, a publicly traded company that is the nation’s largest provider of wireless infrastructure (cell towers, small cells and fiber). In my role as a Senior Attorney, I managed a team that was responsible for overseeing all the company’s national litigation, employment issues, compliance matters, risk management and internal investigations. In this role, I was also responsible for providing legal training across the entire company and managing outside counsel nationally.

My wife and I then made the decision to return our family to the Western New York area where I worked first as Senior Counsel, Compliance and Operations for a national publicly traded technology company that is headquartered in Buffalo, and then subsequently as the Chief Legal Officer for a small renewable energy company also headquartered in Buffalo. In both of those roles, I handled a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to litigation, compliance, employment/human resources, operations, regulatory, and contract administration and management. I then made the decision to return to private practice as a partner at Rossi & DeMarco, PLLC.

I believe that I am well suited to help work with you or your business on a variety of legal matters with experience that ranges from advising individuals, small companies (including start-ups) and publicly traded companies. In my various legal roles both in law firms and corporate legal departments, I have worked with individuals out in the field to C-level executives and senior management (and everyone in between) and treated every individual and legal matter with the same level of care and diligence. As a business owner myself, I excel at placing myself in the shoes of my clients and making sure that I work closely with the client to ensure that every legal matter is being addressed to the client’s utmost satisfaction and within their budget. Every legal matter, no matter how big or small, is important to the client, and likewise, is just as important to me.
